 Luke 10 Covenant
  1. Thank God that you are selected by grace and be a spiritual buddy and find a spiritual buddy within the Luke 10 Community. Luke 10:1TMSG 1Later the Master selected seventy and sent them ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he intended to go.
  2. Pray regularly with your buddy and on your own to be lead to the Person of Peace. Luke 10:2TMSG 2He gave them this charge: “What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands. So on your knees; ask the God of the Harvest to send harvest hands. Luke 10:5TMSG 5“When you enter a home, greet the family, ‘Peace.
  3. Pray for daily reliance upon the Holy Spirit’s power to face the spiritual battles that call for complete reliance upon God. Luke 10:3-4aTMSG 3“On your way! But be careful—this is hazardous work. You’re like lambs in a wolf pack. 4“Travel light. Comb and toothbrush and no extra luggage.
  4. Pray daily to not be distracted from the task. Luke 10:4bTMSG “Don’t loiter and make small talk with everyone you meet along the way.
  5. When you think that you have found the person of peace stay with them and midwife them into the Kingdom using all the power of being Christ’s ambassador to lead them into the love and grace of God. Luke 10:6a; 7-9TMSG 6If your greeting is received, then it’s a good place to stay. 7“Stay at one home, taking your meals there, for a worker deserves three square meals. Don’t move from house to house, looking for the best cook in town. 8“When you enter a town and are received, eat what they set before you,  9heal anyone who is sick, and tell them, ‘God’s kingdom is right on your doorstep!’
  6. When rejected move on and pray that the seeds you sowed will someday bring forth the harvest. Luke 10:6b; 10-11TMSG But if it’s not received, take it back and get out. Don’t impose yourself. 10“When you enter a town and are not received, go out in the street and say,  11‘The only thing we got from you is the dirt on our feet, and we’re giving it back. Did you have any idea that God’s kingdom was right on your doorstep?’
  7. I will attend the monthly Luke 10 huddle making it a top priority in my life.
  8. I will learn about LifeShapes in the huddle and from Pastor Rich and continue to apply them in growing and developing as a disciple.
  9. I am committed to be a disciple who makes disciples by the grace and power of God.
